HomePlay Privacy Policy

How HomePlay handles your data on iPhone, iPad and Android.

In short

HomePlay has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your child profiles, favourites and activity history stay on your device. We do not receive any of it.

Data we collect

None. HomePlay does not collect personal data and does not send anything to us. There is no sign-up, no advertising, no analytics or crash reporting service, and no tracking across other apps or websites.

What stays on your device

The app saves a few things on your device so it can remember them:

  • child profiles you create: a name or nickname, an age and an emoji avatar
  • favourite activities, your activity history with any ratings or notes you add, stickers and skill progress
  • your settings, such as filters, the things you have at home and reduced motion
  • which activity packs you have unlocked

This data never leaves your device through the app. Deleting the app removes all of it.

Backups

The app's data can be part of your own iCloud or computer backup on iPhone and iPad, or your Google backup on Android, if you have backups turned on. Those backups belong to your Apple or Google account and we cannot see them.

Purchases

Activity packs are optional one-time purchases handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your payment details. The app checks your purchases on your device with the store's own tools and remembers which packs are unlocked. Apple's and Google's privacy policies cover the data they process.

Internet use

Every activity, picture and sound is included in the app, so HomePlay works without an internet connection. The app goes online only for:

  • buying or restoring activity packs, and the store's rating prompt (Apple or Google)
  • downloading the app's typeface from Google Fonts the first time it is needed, after which it is kept on your device. Like any download, this shows Google your device's IP address; nothing else is sent
  • the list of our other apps on the Profile screen: their icons load from Apple's image servers, and tapping one opens the App Store or Google Play

None of this sends your child's profile, history or any other app data to us or to anyone else.

Children

HomePlay is made for families with young children and is meant to be used together with a parent or caregiver. It collects no personal data from anyone, including children. There are no ads, no chat or social features and no way to contact other people through the app. Buying an activity pack or rating the app first asks a parent to pass a short check.

Your choices

Since we hold no data about you or your child, there is nothing for us to export or delete. You can edit child profiles and favourites in the app, or delete the app to remove everything it stored.
